What airport should I fly into?

Can you recommend reliable transportation options from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Center?

Yes! There are several convenient ways to get from Dublin Airport to the City Center.

- Ride-hailing service via FreeNow or Uber app

- Hotel shuttle (per your hotel)


Is there lodging recommendations in Dublin for guests arriving early?

Yes, we have included a list of recommended hotels and Airbnb stays. Lodging in Dublin will not be coordinated or supplied by the bride and groom.


How can I get from Dublin to Wicklow?

At the time of RSVP, guests can opt into a group pick-up from Dublin City Center directly to our venue on Monday, August 19 before the Welcome Dinner.

If guests wish to manage their travel to Wicklow, there are several efficient and scenic transportation options from Dublin or elsewhere.

- Dart train or South Eastern Commuter train from Dublin

- Ride-hailing service via FreeNow or Uber

- Rental car

Will my phone work in Ireland?

Yes! Most network providers offer an international plan for a daily rate that can be paid as part of your monthly bill. Or if you wish to purchase a SIM card in Ireland, you can do so at the airport.


What transit applications do you recommend using while in Ireland?

- GPS: Google Maps

- Ride-hailing: FreeNow is Ireland’s most popular ride-hailing application. It works across the entire country, not just in Dublin. Uber also works in Ireland but has fewer drivers, longer wait times, and can be more expensive.


What is the typical weather in Wicklow and Dublin during August?

Daytime temperatures range from 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. While Ireland is known for its unpredictable weather and rain, August tends to be one of the driest months.



Arrivals

When do you recommend we arrive in Dublin?

Our recommendation would be to arrive in Dublin no later than August 18, one day before the Welcome Dinner so that guests can adjust to the time difference ahead of wedding festivities and their attendance is less likely to be impacted by flight delays or cancellations.


When do you recommend we arrive at the venue in Wicklow?

We recommend arriving at Tinakilly no later than 4pm local time on August 19 when check-in becomes available.



The Venue

What time is check-in at the venue?

Check-in at Tinakilly Country House is 4 pm local time on Monday, August 19.


If we choose to stay the 3rd night, how do we sign up and process payment?

At the time of RSVP, please indicate if you wish you stay at Tinakilly Country House for a third night following the wedding festivities. You will process payment upon check-out.


Am I obligated to stay for a third night?

Guests are not obligated to stay for a third night. If any guests wish to leave before or after the BBQ on August 21, they are welcome to do so.


Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes, there is plenty of parking available for all guests at the venue if you decide to rent a car and drive.


Is there Wi-Fi available at the venue?

Yes, Wi-FI will be provided at Tinakilly Country House for the duration of your stay.


Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes.



The Wedding Day

Who are the members of the wedding party?

We don’t have a traditional wedding party; although we have selected two very special people as our Best Man and Maid of Honor.


Are guests allowed to request songs?

We will have a live band followed by a DJ. The band will have a setlist, though we may have the option to request songs from the DJ later in the evening.


Is there an open bar at the reception?

There will be an open bar on the wedding day starting at the cocktail hour through the remainder of the evening.


Can guests bring their own alcohol?

Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol to the reception or any of the wedding events.


Is there a wedding planner available for assistance if needed?

Yes! Annie is our planner and she is wonderful. You will see plenty of her during the wedding festivities. If you need assistance, please let her know.



Attire

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Black-tie optional; a tuxedo or dark suit and tie for men, and an evening gown or midi or knee-length cocktail dress for women.


What is the dress code for the welcome dinner?

Cocktail attire.


What is the dress code for the day after BBQ?

Casual attire. For women, we recommend a sundress, romper, skirt, or pantsuit. For men, we recommend chinos, non-ripped jeans, dress shorts, polos, or button-downs.



RSVP

How do I RSVP to the wedding?

Please RSVP for the wedding online, no later than June 1, 2024.


Can I bring a plus one if it's not specified in the invitation?

All guests that have been given a plus one are specified on their invitation. If you feel a mistake has been made, please reach out to the bride and groom prior to RSVP.


Will I be required to pick my meal during RSVP?

Unlike traditional weddings, guests will have the option to choose their meals during the wedding dinner. If you have any dietary restrictions we should be aware of, please note them upon RSVP.



Pre + Post Wedding Activities

Are there any events planned before the wedding day?

The wedding festivities begin with the wedding rehearsal and welcome dinner on Monday, August 19 and end with the day after BBQ on Wednesday, August 21. Please see the detailed wedding timeline here.

Gifts

Do you have a wedding registry and are wedding gifts expected?

Making the trip to celebrate with us is the most memorable gift we could hope for. For those who insist on giving as well, we have set up a simple wishing well for honeymoon adventures and future home endeavors on our website here.


Can we bring wedding gifts to the venue?

There will be a box for guests to leave a card for the bride and groom if they wish. We ask that guests please don’t bring any large or wrapped gifts.



Payment and Currency

Are there any additional costs for guests?

All of the wedding events included in the wedding timeline are covered by the bride and groom, except a third-night stay at Tinakilly Country House. Any transit specified on the wedding timeline is also covered by the bride and groom.


Can I use a credit card while in Ireland or what is the recommended currency?

Yes! You can use all major credit cards when traveling in Ireland. Make sure to notify your bank that you will be traveling in advance. The currency used in Ireland is the Euro. If you wish to exchange currency, you can do so with your bank prior to your departure or at the airport.

Who should I contact in case of emergencies?

Please call 112 in case of emergencies.


How can we stay updated on any changes or announcements?

Please continue to check the website regularly. The detailed agenda of all wedding events, transit options, and timeline will continue to be updated. Guests will also receive a detailed agenda for the wedding events upon arrival at the venue. If the bride or groom needs any additional information from you, we will reach out to you directly.
